Michael Corbley is a senior scientist in Discovery Oncology at Biogen Idec. He earned his Ph.D. in biological chemistry from Harvard University and carried out post-doctoral studies at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, working with some of the first therapeutic kinase inhibitors. He has been a Fulbright fellow at the Medical Chemistry Institute in Bern, Switzerland, and a Henry Luce Scholar at Beijing Medical University in China. He dabbles in evolutionary theory and bonsai (from tiny acorns grown . . . tiny oak tress).
